About me...
Hi basically I am an engineer working in Sharjah,UAE. I learned about varma 24 yrs ago while learning martial art (kung-fu) were my master taught me about few pressure points to keep us healthy which triggered me to know and learn more about our ancient therapies.When I was doing my apprenticeship in Hosur, in June 2000,I came to know about a 7 day course in reflexology conducted in Bangalore by "PRAKRUTHI JEEVAN KENDRA TRUST" in malleswaram,Bangalore.I completed that course I was in the 48th batch, our teacher was Mr.Brahmachari,till today they are conducting various courses in Bangalore about acupressure,naturopathy,yoga to give awareness and enlighten people.
The course was based on teachings of Dr.Devendra Vora and his wonderful book "THE HEALTH IN YOUR HANDS" and Dr.Dhiren Gala's book about meridianology..
In 2000 December I did Diploma in Acupressure (meridianology) through distance education with 'Institute of Alternative Medicines' in Mumbai,under Dr.Dhiren Gala.

By now my thirst for knowledge about our ancient medicines and therapies grew stronger and deeper, meantime I started treating my family members and friends who supported me and it was amazingly successful which encouraged me to learn more and more, then I met Mr.Srinivasan a Siddha & Varma doctor who first introduced me to Varmakkalai and Varma Sigichai, later I enrolled myself to earn a diploma in Varmalogy from ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE COLLEGE in Coimbatore affiliated by Bharat Sevak Samaj Govt. of India, I learned about Ayurveda Varma & Siddha Varma and I have done my master diploma in Acupuncture and Varma from Alternative Medicine College, Coimbatore.
In 2006 I registered myself with the 'Indian Board of Alternative Medicines' in Calcutta which is affiliated with "The Open International University for Complementary Medicines"(Medicina Alternativa) and got my RMP(Registered Medical practitioner certificate-alternative medicine) so that I can practice legally in India.
In 2007 I learned Reiki from Reiki master Mr.Anoop in Dubai, UAE, and earned my first degree in Reiki, then in 2008, I earned a second degree in Reiki from famous Indian Reiki Grandmaster Mr.Akhilesh.
I have also done B.Sc in Medical Sociology from Madras University, basically I wanted to do a degree in psychology since I am in UAE I cannot attend for practicals in India so I dropped that and chose to do Medical Sociology because it had Anatomy as a subject which I was very much interested to know and no practicals to attend which helped me a lot.
In UAE I do treatment only at my home, I do not have any clinic since I was not able to get a license from MOH or DHA, when I approached in this regard they informed me that in alternative medicine they only recognize Acupuncture with Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) course, done in a reputed university from China, it was not possible to explain them about the true history and birth of this alternative medicines is from south India nor they were interested to know, I hope in future UAE (MOH & DHA) will also recognize acupressure / Varma therapy courses from India, my aim is only to help people and not make money, so I practice only at home during my leisure time and give treatment, only for the people who have the knowledge and believe in alternative medicines and especially who ask for it, pls do not ask for massage I am not a massage therapist.....
